The Project Coordination Committee for the Support to Agriculture-based livelihoods and Agribusiness Enterprise for Sustainable Peace and Development in Maguindanao and Cotabato met earlier today for their first meeting of the year.
It was graced by Undersecretary Zamzamin Ampatuan, the council chairperson; Regional Executive Director Arlan Mangelen, co-chairperson; Ambassador Peter Kell of New Zealand; Hang Thi Thanh Pham representative of Food and Agriculture Organization-United Nations (UN-FAO); and dignitaries from the cooperating agencies and non-government organizations.
In the meeting, the members of the council determined the project implementation plan this year and ensured the dynamics on how to determine the success of the project.
This project is jointly funded by the New Zealand goverment and the UN-FAO which aims to contribute to the development of agriculture and agribusiness in the provinces of Maguindanao and Cotabato to reduce poverty and ultimately result in inclusive growth as well as sustaining peace and development in the region.
