  • Examines animals, animal products and effects on board any vessels and aircraft docking/anchoring or landing within his port of assignment for the purpose of determining their healthy and sanitary conditions and ascertain if some have complied with shipment, import and export regulations.
  • Supervises the cleaning, disinfection and/or fumigations of vessels or aircraft suspected or verified to be contaminated with dangerous communicable animal disease, to dispose the condemned animals and products pursuant to provision of pertinent quarantine rules and regulations.
  • Makes study and report on the occurance and incidence of diseases among imported animals and perform related functions.
