From P15.00 hauling fee per sack of rice, farmers now in a community in Norala, South Cotabato enjoy the no-hauling-fee benefit brought by the 1.7 kilometer road project under the Department of Agriculture-Philippine Rural Development Project (DA-PRDP).

"Before, we paid as much as fifteen pesos per sack since we were transporting our produce in a different route, but it's a lot different now...no hauling fee, plus, we can easily reach the town," said Alex Parreño, a 67-year old farmer in the area.

Aside from the agri-development opened by the PRDP road project, constituents near the Purok Taurus-Central Balabago Farm-to-Market Road noted that social services can now easily penetrate the area.

Meanwhile, Secretary Emmanuel Piñol hailed the implementation of PRDP in an interview saying, "With PRDP's culture of no corruption we are contributing to changing the culture of the Philippine political leaders."
